Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 0.88 per cent), Punjab National Bank(up 0.73 per cent), AU Small Finance Bank(up 0.68 per cent), Bandhan Bank(up 0.56 per cent) and RBLBANK(up 0.52 per cent) were among the top gainers.
IDFCBANK(down 0.31 per cent) and State Bank of India(down 0.25 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.31 per cent at 38640.45 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 141.4 points at 18133.35, while the BSE Sensex was up 357.24 points at 60641.55.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 40 were trading in the green, while 10 were in the red.

Shares of Dynamic Services & Security Ltd., Destiny Logistics & Infra Ltd., NRB Industrial, Tata Motors(DVR)and Tata Motors hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Nandani Creation, Coastal Corp and Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Ltd. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
