Tata Power Company(up 14.49%), Adani Power(up 10.00%), NHPC(up 7.93%), Suzlon Energy(up 4.96%), Reliance Power(up 4.95%), Jyoti Structures(up 4.83%), ABBPP&SLTD(up 4.79%), Orient Green Power Company(up 4.26%), SJVN(up 3.35%) and DPSC(up 2.44%) were among the top gainers.
NTL(down 3.70%), Karma Energy(down 0.86%), Energy Development Company(down 0.44%), Alstom T&D India(down 0.30%) and Kalpataru Power Transmission(down 0.05%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 180.05 points up at 18518.6, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 551.41 points at 61857.36 at around 10:50AM.
Hindalco Industries(up 6.52%), Tata Motors(up 4.56%), JSW Steel(up 4.27%), Titan Company Ltd(up 3.56%), Tata Steel(up 3.22%), Bajaj Finserv(up 3.03%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 2.99%), Infosys(up 2.93%), Indian Oil Corporation(up 2.53%) and ITC(up 2.36%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, HCL Technologies(down 1.89%), Asian Paints(down 1.43%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 1.26%), Bajaj Auto(down 0.85%), Divis Laboratories(down 0.82%), Cipla(down 0.7%), Eicher Motors(down 0.38%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.34%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 0.22%) and Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.11%) were trading in the red.
