Bharat Forge(up 0.67 per cent), TVS Motor Company(up 0.25 per cent), Hero MotoCorp(up 0.2 per cent) and Bajaj Auto(up 0.14 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Eicher Motors(down 2.19 per cent), TIINDIA(down 1.51 per cent), Amara Raja Batteries(down 1.29 per cent), Tata Motors(down 1.13 per cent) and MRF(down 0.99 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was down 0.52 per cent at 11753.3 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 57.1 points at 18534.15, while the BSE Sensex was up 257.44 points at 62023.03.
