State Bank of India(up 3.63 per cent), ICICI Bank(up 0.95 per cent), IndusInd Bank(up 0.74 per cent), IDFCBANK(up 0.62 per cent) and Punjab National Bank(up 0.45 per cent) were among the top gainers.
AU Small Finance Bank(down 1.61 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.98 per cent), HDFC Bank(down 0.91 per cent) and RBLBANK(down 0.24 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.39 per cent at 39693.6 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 6.2 points at 18412.55, while the BSE Sensex was up 36.02 points at 61752.07.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were trading in the green, while 30 were in the red.
