Indowind Energy(up 4.42%), RTNPOWER(up 2.41%), Adani Transmissions(up 1.93%), Adani Power(up 1.57%), PTC India(up 1.50%), JSW Energy(up 1.17%), KEC International(up 1.08%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.03%), Reliance Power(up 0.98%) and GE Power India Limited(up 0.86%) were among the top gainers.
Orient Green Power Company(down 4.21%), NTL(down 4.17%), Jyoti Structures(down 3.12%), Indo Tech Transformers(down 2.10%), ABBPP&SLTD(down 1.38%), NHPC(down 0.77%), Tata Power Company(down 0.69%), Kalpataru Power Transmission(down 0.52%), K.P.I. Global Infras(down 0.49%) and Energy Development Company(down 0.47%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 60.1 points down at 18206.5, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 233.89 points at 61026.07 at around 10:40AM.
Indian Oil Corporation(up 2.95%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 2.59%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.86%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 1.71%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.03%), Coal India(up 0.78%), Grasim Industries(up 0.67%), Tata Motors(up 0.63%), NTPC(up 0.62%) and ICICI Bank(up 0.58%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Tech Mahindra(down 2.51%), HCL Technologies(down 2.31%), Tata Consultancy(down 1.88%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 1.44%), IndusInd Bank(down 1.35%), Hero MotoCorp(down 1.25%), Reliance Industries(down 1.18%), Bharti Airtel(down 1.17%), Hindalco Industries(down 1.11%) and Wipro(down 1.02%) were trading in the red.
