TVS Motor Company(up 8.06 per cent), Bharat Forge(up 2.85 per cent), Bajaj Auto(up 1.68 per cent), Ashok Leyland(up 1.1 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp(up 1.01 per cent) were among the top gainers.
TIINDIA(down 3.04 per cent), Tata Motors(down 1.1 per cent), Eicher Motors(down 1.09 per cent), Maruti Suzuki(down 0.86 per cent) and Balkrishna Industries(down 0.66 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was up 0.19 per cent at 11579.3 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 98.8 points at 18276.9, while the BSE Sensex was up 413.29 points at 61336.79.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.
