KEC International(up 5.61%), Indowind Energy(up 4.74%), Energy Development Company(up 2.80%), NHPC(up 2.57%), Karma Energy(up 2.47%), JSW Energy(up 2.17%), Suzlon Energy(up 2.11%), Gujarat Industries Power(up 1.89%), Inox wind(up 1.32%) and SJVN(up 1.20%) were among the top gainers.
Adani Power(down 4.99%), Orient Green Power Company(down 4.40%), NTL(down 4.35%), Jyoti Structures(down 2.51%), Adani Transmissions(down 2.13%), K.P.I. Global Infras(down 1.72%), Indo Tech Transformers(down 1.58%), Kalpataru Power Transmission(down 0.99%), NTPC(down 0.85%) and PTC India(down 0.45%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 63.2 points up at 18241.3, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 262.57 points at 61186.07 at around 09:59AM.
Bajaj Finserv(up 2.53%), HDFC(up 2.28%), Titan Company Ltd(up 2.1%), Bajaj Auto(up 2.05%), Bajaj Finance(up 1.79%), Tech Mahindra(up 1.6%), HDFC Bank(up 1.36%), Hindustan Unilever(up 1.14%), Hero MotoCorp(up 1.14%) and Shree Cement(up 0.9%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Hindalco Industries(down 2.29%), JSW Steel(down 1.53%), Coal India(down 1.51%), Asian Paints(down 1.35%), Tata Motors(down 1.28%), NTPC(down 0.91%), Tata Steel(down 0.81%), Eicher Motors(down 0.81%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 0.76%) and Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 0.44%) were trading in the red.
