Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 101.95 points to 18280.05 amid buying in frontline bluechip stocks.
However, stocks such as Destiny Logistics & Infra Ltd., SREI Infra Fin, Quadpro ITeS Ltd., Jainam Ferro Alloys(I)Ltd. and Windlas Biotech Ltd., touched their fresh 52-week low.
Overall, 30 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 20 traded in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Bajaj Finserv, HDFC, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Auto and HDFC Bank were among top gainers, while Coal India Ltd, Hindalco, Asian Paints, NTPC and Eicher Motors traded in the red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 409.4 points up at 61332.90 at 10:29AM(IST).
Traders were seen piling up positions in Real Estate, Electric/Electronics, Cables, NBFC and Apparels sectors, while selling was visible in Miscellaneous, Learning & Education, Services, Industrial Consumables and Metals – Non Ferrous sectors.
