Shares of Torrent Pharmaceuticals(up 3.86 per cent), Laurus(up 3.21 per cent), Natco Pharma(up 1.25 per cent), Lupin(up 0.96 per cent) and Gland Pharma(up 0.88 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Pfizer(down 3.43 per cent), Strides Pharma Science(down 2.81 per cent), Ipca Laboratories(down 2.45 per cent), Divis Laboratories(down 1.53 per cent) and Granules India(down 1.5 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.04 per cent down at 13943.85.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 10.5 points at 18125.4, while the BSE Sensex stood up 145.43 points at 60967.05.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 12 ended in the green, while 37 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, PNB, Bank of Baroda and ICICI Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of ICICI Bank, Arihant Found, MRPL, Shoppers Stop and KEC Int. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Airo Lam, Huhtamaki PPL, Synergy Green Ind, Suvidhaa Infoserve Ltd. and Generic Engg hit their fresh 52-week lows.
