NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Bharat Agri Fert(20.0%), Olympia Ind(19.97%), Pritish Nandy(19.95%), Williamson Magor(19.85%), KEI Industries(19.17%) and Jindal Stainles(16.3%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 383.21 points up at 61350.26, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 143.0 points up at 18268.4.
In the Nifty50 index, 38 stocks closed in the green, while 12 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Bharat Agri Fert, Jindal Stainles, HG Infra Engg, Aptech and TCI Express hit their fresh 52-week high, while SBL Infratech Ltd., Kapil Raj Finance, Dhruv Wellness, Palm Jewels and ThirdwaveFinIntrm touched their new 52-week low in today’s trade.
