NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 17.21 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 11.60 crore), Bank of Baroda(number of shares traded: 7.47 crore), Tata Power(number of shares traded: 6.64 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 5.77 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 3.74 crore), Rail Vikas Nigam(number of shares traded: 2.79 crore), IDFC First Bank(number of shares traded: 2.63 crore), Tata Motors(number of shares traded: 2.49 crore) and BHEL(number of shares traded: 1.92 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:01AM in Tuesday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 27.6 points up at 18153.0, while BSE Sensex was up 15.78 points at 60982.83 at the time of writing this report.
In the Nifty index, Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 4.52 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 3.94 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 2.45 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 2.06 per cent) and Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 1.88 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.87 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 1.71 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 1.17 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 0.91 per cent) and Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 0.80 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
