Tech Mahindra(up 4.54 per cent), MPhasis(up 2.07 per cent), L&T Technology(up 1.48 per cent), Mindtree(up 1.44 per cent) and Larsen & Toubro Infotech(up 0.55 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Infosys(down 0.35 per cent), Coforge(down 0.23 per cent) and Tata Consultancy(down 0.09 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was up 0.6 per cent at 35214.2 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 25.15 points at 18150.55, while the BSE Sensex was up 2.32 points at 60969.37.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.
