Brigade Enterprises(up 8.34 per cent), Macrotech Developers(up 7.21 per cent), DLF(up 2.16 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(up 1.81 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate(up 1.79 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Phoenix Mills(down 0.61 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was up 2.13 per cent at 507.0 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 24.2 points at 18149.6, while the BSE Sensex was up 0.75 points at 60967.8.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.
