Shares of Macrotech Developers(up 9.47 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(up 7.59 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(up 4.77 per cent), DLF(up 3.66 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(up 3.56 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Phoenix Mills(down 0.78 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 3.62 per cent up at 514.4.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 143.0 points at 18268.4, while the BSE Sensex stood up 383.21 points at 61350.26.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 38 ended in the green, while 12 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, PNB, Bank of Baroda, Tata Power and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Jindal Stainles, HG Infra Engg, Aptech, TCI Express and Jindal Stainless hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Dev Information Tech, Dynamic Services & Security Ltd., D K Enterprises Global Ltd., SREI Infra Fin and Marine Electricals hit their fresh 52-week lows.
