Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 1.79%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 1.40%), KRISHANA(down 1.13%), Madras Fertlizers(down 0.35%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.14%), Coromandel International(down 0.11%) and ZUARIAGRO(down 0.09%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 258.0 points up at 17929.65, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 831.53 points at 60138.46.
IndusInd Bank(up 7.8%), Hindalco Industries(up 3.99%), HCL Technologies(up 3.97%), Bharti Airtel(up 3.96%), Grasim Industries(up 3.95%), Coal India(up 3.83%), Tata Steel(up 3.72%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 3.05%), Eicher Motors(up 3.03%) and Tech Mahindra(up 3.0%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, UPL Ltd(down 2.72%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 1.57%), Bajaj Finserv(down 1.43%) and Nestle India(down 0.32%) closed in the red.
