Bajaj Consumer(down 4.31%), DFM Foods(down 1.05%), Zydus Wellness(down 0.94%), Marico(down 0.67%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(down 0.60%), Varun Beverages(down 0.56%), Parag Milk(down 0.54%), Colgate Palmolive(India)(down 0.40%), Dodla Dairy(down 0.38%) and Godrej Consumer Products(down 0.35%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 33.2 points down at 17896.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 140.36 points at 59998.1 at around 11:06AM.
Maruti Suzuki(up 3.33%), NTPC(up 1.9%), Tata Motors(up 1.15%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 1.08%), Bajaj Auto(up 1.07%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 0.97%), Bajaj Finance(up 0.95%), Titan Company Ltd(up 0.92%), Bajaj Finserv(up 0.79%) and Power Grid Corporation of India(up 0.53%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 2.75%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.46%), IndusInd Bank(down 1.11%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 1.1%), Reliance Industries(down 1.05%), Tata Steel(down 0.91%), JSW Steel(down 0.7%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 0.57%), UPL Ltd(down 0.54%) and Grasim Industries(down 0.51%) were trading in the red.
