Bharat Forge(down 0.65 per cent), Eicher Motors(down 0.43 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.02 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was up 1.47 per cent at 11588.35 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 8.05 points at 17937.7, while the BSE Sensex was up 17.92 points at 60156.38.
