MPhasis(up 1.98 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Infotech(up 0.27 per cent), Tata Consultancy(up 0.25 per cent) and L&T Technology(up 0.02 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Tech Mahindra(down 1.26 per cent), HCL Technologies(down 0.35 per cent), Infosys(down 0.33 per cent), Mindtree(down 0.22 per cent) and Coforge(down 0.16 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was down 0.09 per cent at 35257.9 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 2.25 points at 17931.9, while the BSE Sensex was down 12.59 points at 60125.87.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 were trading in the green, while 23 were in the red.
