NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 257.14 points down at 59771.92 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Tanvi Foods(India)(down 19.97 per cent), Diggi Multitrade(down 18.31 per cent), Bharat Gears(down 11.58 per cent), Punjab Comm(down 10.46 per cent) and Dolfin Rubbers(down 10.26 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 22 stocks closed in the green, while 28 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 59.75 points down at 17829.2.
On the BSE, Triveni Enterprises, Hathway Cable, Magellanic Cloud, HemoOrganic and Bangalore Fort Farms hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Pondy Oxides, Odyssey Tech, Manomay Tex India, Amco India and Swarnsarita Gems touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
