NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 2.34 crore), Tata Tele(number of shares traded: 1.49 crore), Tata Power(number of shares traded: 1.35 crore), Bank of Baroda(number of shares traded: 1.31 crore), BHEL(number of shares traded: 1.26 crore), Lloyds Steels(number of shares traded: 1.15 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 0.99 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 0.98 crore), Bharti Airtel(number of shares traded: 0.95 crore) and SAIL(number of shares traded: 0.91 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 09:59AM in Wednesday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 75.3 points up at 17964.25, while BSE Sensex was up 243.56 points at 60272.62 at the time of writing this report.
In the Nifty index, Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 3.19 per cent), UPL Ltd.(up 2.96 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.81 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.73 per cent) and UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 1.57 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 1.55 per cent), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.41 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(down 0.36 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 0.30 per cent) and Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 0.23 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
