NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 30.79 crore), Tata Power(numbers of share traded: 10.39 crore), SAIL(numbers of share traded: 6.24 crore), BHEL(numbers of share traded: 6.03 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 5.53 crore), Bank of Baroda(numbers of share traded: 5.37 crore), Tata Motors(numbers of share traded: 5.05 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 4.07 crore), Union Bank India(numbers of share traded: 3.70 crore) and NALCO(numbers of share traded: 3.58 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 24.3 points down at 18044.25, while BSE Sensex ended down 112.16 points at 60433.45.
On the other hand, Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 2.58 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 1.75 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 1.39 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 1.37 per cent) and JSW Steel Ltd.(down 1.34 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
