RBLBANK(up 3.94 per cent), Punjab National Bank(up 1.65 per cent), IDFCBANK(up 1.46 per cent), Bandhan Bank(up 1.44 per cent) and Federal Bank(up 1.23 per cent) were among the top gainers.
HDFC Bank(down 1.29 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.69 per cent), Axis Bank(down 0.26 per cent) and AU Small Finance Bank(down 0.12 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was down 0.08 per cent at 39408.6 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 14.6 points at 18053.95, while the BSE Sensex was down 94.76 points at 60450.85.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.
