The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 38.35 points up at 18141.1, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 143.74 points at 60830.43 at around 10:24AM.
Hero MotoCorp(up 2.23%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 2.17%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 2.0%), UPL Ltd(up 1.86%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 1.39%), Asian Paints(up 1.37%), ITC(up 1.16%), Cipla(up 1.15%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 1.06%) and Eicher Motors(up 1.0%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Coal India(down 3.35%), Hindalco Industries(down 1.93%), Tata Steel(down 1.61%), JSW Steel(down 1.53%), Bajaj Finserv(down 0.94%), Bajaj Finance(down 0.78%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 0.78%), SBI Life(down 0.77%), Reliance Industries(down 0.65%) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 0.55%) were trading in the red.
