HCL Technologies(down 0.47 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was up 0.48 per cent at 36640.05 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 46.4 points at 18063.05, while the BSE Sensex was down 202.64 points at 60516.07.
