Torrent Pharmaceuticals(up 0.91 per cent), Laurus(up 0.76 per cent), Granules India(up 0.38 per cent), Alkem Laboratories(up 0.3 per cent) and Biocon(up 0.3 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(down 3.26 per cent), Ipca Laboratories(down 3.14 per cent), Gland Pharma(down 2.7 per cent), Lupin(down 1.24 per cent) and Cadila Healthcare(down 1.19 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.6 per cent at 13890.7 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 65.0 points at 18044.45, while the BSE Sensex was down 249.52 points at 60469.19.
