Rana Sugars(down 3.26%), Dharani Sugars & Chemicals(down 0.55%), Vishwaraj Sugar Industries(down 0.28%) and Ugar Sugar Works(down 0.18%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 54.55 points down at 18054.9, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 214.35 points at 60504.36 at around 11:00AM.
Maruti Suzuki(up 2.76%), Tata Motors(up 2.53%), Bajaj Finserv(up 1.55%), Infosys(up 1.17%), Hero MotoCorp(up 1.15%), Bajaj Finance(up 1.05%), Tech Mahindra(up 0.87%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 0.77%), Wipro(up 0.68%) and JSW Steel(up 0.61%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Reliance Industries(down 2.09%), Asian Paints(down 1.43%), HDFC(down 1.19%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 1.14%), NTPC(down 1.13%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 1.06%), Divis Laboratories(down 1.02%), State Bank of India(down 0.9%), IndusInd Bank(down 0.75%) and Indian Oil Corporation(down 0.72%) were trading in the red.
