Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 5.44%), Sikko Industries(down 4.96%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 4.65%), Bohra Industries(down 4.55%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 3.29%), National Fertilizer(down 2.32%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 2.07%), ZUARIAGRO(down 2.00%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 1.33%) and G S F C(down 1.29%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 100.55 points down at 17898.65, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 314.04 points at 60008.33.
SBI Life(up 2.97%), Maruti Suzuki(up 2.79%), Asian Paints(up 2.49%), Tata Motors(up 2.14%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.84%), ITC(up 1.72%), NTPC(up 1.6%), IndusInd Bank(up 1.28%), Tech Mahindra(up 1.16%) and Bajaj Finance(up 0.69%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, UPL Ltd(down 3.13%), Reliance Industries(down 2.14%), Britannia Industries(down 2.05%), Indian Oil Corporation(down 1.95%), Axis Bank(down 1.9%), Coal India(down 1.85%), Divis Laboratories(down 1.83%), Cipla(down 1.78%), Grasim Industries(down 1.67%) and Shree Cement(down 1.59%) closed in the red.
