Voltamp Transformers(up 6.73%), Energy Development Company(up 4.93%), Indowind Energy(up 4.90%), NTL(up 4.76%), Orient Green Power Company(up 4.69%), Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(up 4.61%), Karma Energy(up 4.24%), KEC International(up 3.59%), PTC India(up 3.44%) and NHPC(up 2.36%) were among the top gainers.
Inox wind(down 2.21%), RTNPOWER(down 1.28%), Kalpataru Power Transmission(down 0.89%), Torrent Power(down 0.88%), K.P.I. Global Infras(down 0.49%), GE Power India Limited(down 0.11%) and JSW Energy(down 0.11%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 35.65 points down at 17963.55, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 123.34 points at 60199.03 at around 09:59AM.
Tata Motors(up 3.2%), NTPC(up 2.27%), SBI Life(up 1.77%), State Bank of India(up 1.57%), Asian Paints(up 1.57%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.33%), Maruti Suzuki(up 1.11%), ITC(up 1.02%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.01%) and IndusInd Bank(up 0.94%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Cipla(down 1.27%), Reliance Industries(down 1.26%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 1.22%), UPL Ltd(down 1.2%), Axis Bank(down 1.11%), HDFC(down 1.03%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 0.91%), Tata Consultancy(down 0.84%), HDFC Bank(down 0.78%) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 0.77%) were trading in the red.
