Indiabulls Real Estate(up 3.53 per cent), Godrej Properties(up 2.83 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 2.01 per cent), Macrotech Developers(up 0.81 per cent) and DLF(up 0.6 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Prestige Estates Projects(down 0.53 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(down 0.21 per cent) and Phoenix Mills(down 0.07 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was up 1.46 per cent at 523.55 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 78.1 points at 17581.45, while the BSE Sensex was up 246.97 points at 58911.3.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red.
