Should you buy?
Like many other bigger funds in its category, this small-cap offering has hefty allocation in mid-caps. The portfolio is currently split equally between the two segments. The fund targets small players in evolving industries, those in a large industry catering to niche segments or looking to gain market share of unorganised players. The portfolio is heavily diversified with modest positions in top bets. The fund has shown healthy performance metrics for large parts of its short history, apart from a blip in 2019 and 2020. After reshuffling of fund managers, the fund performance has shown an uptick again but needs to regain consistency to emerge a good pick in this segment.
