Wall Street’s main indexes opened lower on Monday as climbing Treasury yields and prospects of rising inflation triggered valuation concerns, hitting shares of technology-related companies.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 165.2 points, or 0.53%, at the open to 31,328.62. The S&P 500 fell 27.2 points, or 0.69%, at the open to 3,879.66, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 184.3 points, or 1.33%, to 13,690.30 at the opening bell.
