NPA: Banking road to normalcy may have a few NPA bumps

The Supreme Court verdict vacating the stay on NPA recognition by lenders and rejecting the demand to extend the moratorium period will make bank books transparent after a long period of opacity in reporting numbers. Though banks could see a spike in bad loan reporting in the March quarter, some lenders could write-back excess provisions, leading to a jump in profits.
