Wall Street’s main indexes opened higher on Thursday with investors awaiting details on President-elect Joe Biden’s proposals for stimulus to jump-start the economy as data showed a struggling job market recovery.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 134.2 points, or 0.43%, at the open to 31,195.25. The S&P 500 rose 8.84 points, or 0.23%, at the open to 3,818.68, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 54.8 points, or 0.42%, to 13,183.85 at the opening bell.
