Wall Street’s main indexes edged higher on Monday after a flat start as investors remained on the fence ahead of key inflation data later this week, while heavyweight technology shares largely shrugged off a deal by the world’s richest nations on a global minimum corporate tax.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 26.37 points, or 0.08%, in early deals to 34,782.76.
The S&P 500 was flat at 4,229.98.
The Nasdaq Composite climbed 2.15 points, or 0.02%, to 13,816.64.
