US stocks rose on Thursday, shrugging off a bigger-than-expected jump in May consumer prices that raised concerns of early policy tightening by the Federal Reserve, while another report showed the labor market remained under pressure.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 244.17 points, or 0.71%, to 34,691.31 in early deals.
The S&P 500 climbed 28.97 points, or 0.69%, to 4,248.52.
The Nasdaq Composite gained 109.49 points, or 0.79%, to 14,021.24.
