The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 403.7 points, or 1.19%, at the open to 33,420.25. The S&P 500 fell 38.1 points, or 0.92%, at the open to 4,183.18, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 82.4 points, or 0.58%, to 14,078.71 at the opening bell.
