torrent pharma share price: Torrent Pharma shares down 0.47% as Sensex rises

Shares of Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd. fell 0.47 per cent to Rs 3000.95 in Wednesday’s session as of 02:31PM (IST) even as the equity benchmark Sensex traded 93.24 points higher at 52862.97.

Earlier in the day, the stock witnessed a gap up start to the session. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 3084.85 and a 52-week low of Rs 2232.0 on NSE. Around 18265 shares changed hands on the counter till 02:31PM (IST).

The stock opened at Rs 3026.05 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 3026.35 and Rs 2990.0 during the session so far. The stock quoted a price-to-earnings (PE) ratio of 40.56, earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 73.99 and price to book value (PB) of 7.37, while the return on equity (ROE) stood at Rs 21.44.

Promoter/ FII Holding
The promoters held 71.25 per cent stake in the company as of July 14, while FII and MF ownerships stood at 12.94 per cent and 6.47 per cent, respectively.

The company reported net profit of Rs 324.0 crore for the latest quarter, up 3.18 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.
