Shares of Bosch (up 0.87 per cent), TIINDIA (up 0.82 per cent), Ashok Leyland (up 0.71 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra (up 0.64 per cent) and TVS Motor Company (up 0.51 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Maruti Suzuki (down 1.39 per cent), Bharat Forge (down 0.99 per cent), Tata Motors (down 0.45 per cent), Balkrishna Industries (down 0.42 per cent) and MRF (down 0.37 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Auto index closed 0.28 per cent down at 10467.9.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 41.6 points at 15853.95, while the BSE Sensex stood up 134.32 points at 52904.05.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 ended in the green, while 27 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, JM Financial, NMDC and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of SVP Global, South West Pinnacle, Indbank Merc, Sumit Woods and Kaya hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Walpar Nutritions Ltd. and SKS Textiles hit their fresh 52-week lows.
