Sensex rises! But these stocks are down 5% or more on BSE

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 222.69 points up at 53126.74 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Cheviot Company (down 14.46 per cent), Janus Corporation (down 9.97 per cent), Tiaan Ayurvedic & He (down 9.94 per cent), Alphalogic Techsys (down 9.85 per cent) and Paramount Comm (down 9.83 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.

In the Nifty pack, 26 stocks traded in the green, while 24 stocks traded in the red.

The Nifty index was trading 58.05 points up at 15912.0.

On the BSE, Prism Finance, Premier Capital Services Ltd., Nam Securities, CHD Chemicals Ltd. and Rander Corp hit their fresh 52-week lows, while NPR Finance, Shyam Century Ferro, Datamatics Glob, L&T Tech and Cyient touched their fresh 52-week highs.
