NEW DELHI: Quite a few stocks rose in excess of 10% on BSE as domestic equity indices, BSE Sensex and NSE Niftytraded in the green on Thursday amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that rallied over 10 per cent included, Banaras Beads ( 19.98 per cent) , Syschem (India) ( 16.35 per cent) , Rama Phosphates ( 14.88 per cent) , IDFC ( 14.03 per cent) and Tarmat Ltd ( 13.94 per cent) among others .
The 30-share Sensex traded 520.71 points up at 52719.22, while the 50-share Nifty index rose 148.2 points to 15780.3.
In the Nifty 50 index, 42 stocks traded in the green, while 8 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as IDFC, Jubilant Food, Mastek Ltd, Gland Pharma and Jubilant Ingrevia Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs, while Premier Capital Services Ltd., Tricom Fruit, Aneri Fincap , Regal Entertain and AA Plus Tradelink Ltd. touched their new 52-week lows in trade.
