NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (numbers of share traded: 26.86 crore), Zomato Ltd. (numbers of share traded: 15.98 crore), YES Bank (numbers of share traded: 12.91 crore), Trident Ltd (numbers of share traded: 9.07 crore), Vikas Multicorp (numbers of share traded: 7.91 crore), SAIL (numbers of share traded: 7.56 crore), JP Power (numbers of share traded: 7.34 crore), Suzlon Energy (numbers of share traded: 6.75 crore), PNB (numbers of share traded: 5.72 crore) and NALCO (numbers of share traded: 5.36 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 37.05 points down at 15709.4, while BSE Sensex ended down 135.05 points at 52443.71.
On the other hand, Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (down 2.66 per cent), Cipla Ltd. (down 2.54 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd. (down 2.39 per cent), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. (down 2.30 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (down 2.26 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
