Shares of Phoenix Mills (up 3.54 per cent), Godrej Properties (up 2.45 per cent), SOBHA (up 1.09 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises (up 0.6 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Sunteck Realty (down 3.55 per cent), Oberoi Realty (down 2.73 per cent), Hemisphere Properties India (down 1.45 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate (down 1.37 per cent) and DLF (down 0.71 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.29 per cent up at 398.65.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 15.4 points at 15763.05, while the BSE Sensex stood down 66.23 points at 52586.84.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 ended in the green, while 25 closed in the red.
