NEW DELHI: Bharti Airtel (Rs. 4282.89 crore), SBI (Rs. 2621.21 crore), Tata Steel (Rs. 2300.41 crore), RIL (Rs. 2086.36 crore), HDFC Bank (Rs. 1395.93 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs. 1253.91 crore), SAIL (Rs. 1200.69 crore), Vodafone Idea (Rs. 1153.20 crore), Kotak Bank (Rs. 1074.57 crore) and HDFC (Rs. 1071.20 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Thursday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 35.8 points up at 16294.6, while BSE Sensex rose 123.07 points to 54492.84.
In the Nifty index, Bharti Airtel Ltd. (up 4.23 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd. (up 3.42 per cent), ITC Ltd. (up 3.19 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd. (up 2.61 per cent) and Tata Steel Ltd. (up 2.15 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, State Bank of India (down 3.30 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (down 2.24 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (down 1.74 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd. (down 1.71 per cent) and Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (down 1.36 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
