NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 236.86 points up at 55080.84 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Relicab Cable Manufa (down 19.78 per cent), Upasana Finance (down 18.12 per cent), Eastern Treads (down 13.30 per cent), Ador Multiprod (down 12.94 per cent) and Unique Organics (down 12.77 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 33 stocks traded in the green, while 17 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 75.5 points up at 16439.9.
On the BSE, Relicab Cable Manufa, Palm Jewels, KCD Industries India, Ozone World and Advance Lifestyles Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Shankar Lal Rampal, RTS Power, Technocraft Ind, Quint Digital Media and Sandur Manganese touched their fresh 52-week highs.
