NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (numbers of share traded: 47.87 crore), YES Bank (numbers of share traded: 12.99 crore), MPS Infotecnics (numbers of share traded: 9.56 crore), SAIL (numbers of share traded: 8.76 crore), JP Power (numbers of share traded: 7.29 crore), Zomato Ltd. (numbers of share traded: 6.85 crore), PNB (numbers of share traded: 5.48 crore), IDFC First Bank (numbers of share traded: 4.22 crore), BHEL (numbers of share traded: 4.12 crore) and Suzlon Energy (numbers of share traded: 3.79 crore) emerged top gainers in Monday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 45.95 points up at 16496.45, while BSE Sensex ended up 226.47 points at 55555.79.
On the other hand, Grasim Industries Ltd. (down 2.96 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (down 2.75 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (down 2.51 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd. (down 2.22 per cent) and Bajaj Auto Ltd. (down 2.22 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
