Shares of Prestige Estates Projects (up 13.43 per cent), Oberoi Realty (up 7.26 per cent), Brigade Enterprises (up 6.36 per cent), SOBHA (up 6.3 per cent) and Sunteck Realty (up 2.22 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Phoenix Mills (down 0.54 per cent) and Hemisphere Properties India (down 0.11 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 3.16 per cent up at 431.05.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 54.2 points at 17377.8, while the BSE Sensex stood up 166.96 points at 58296.91.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 ended in the green, while 22 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, NALCO, YES Bank, Alok Industries and Trident Ltd were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Alphageo , Ebixcash World Money, Liberty Shoes, Hind Rectifiers and Silver Touch Tech hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while DQ Entertainmnt, Suvidhaa Infoserve Ltd., Nandani Creation, Jiya Eco Products Lt and Yuken India hit their fresh 52-week lows.
