NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 420.51 points up at 59561.67 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Superior Finlease (down 9.99 per cent), Raj Oil Mills (down 9.96 per cent), Shiva Granito Export (down 9.09 per cent), Inventure Grwth (down 8.00 per cent) and YES Bank (down 7.80 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 40 stocks traded in the green, while 10 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 139.0 points up at 17768.5.
On the BSE, Aashka Hospitals Ltd., Gopal Iron Stl, Krsnaa Diagnostics Ltd., Shalimar Prod and Madhav Infra Proj hit their fresh 52-week lows, while RPP Infra Proj, TPL Plastech, Bannari Amman, Kaira Can and Atam Valves touched their fresh 52-week highs.
