NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 4.72 crore), Railtel Corporation of India Ltd. (number of shares traded: 0.72 crore), SBI (number of shares traded: 0.68 crore), YES Bank (number of shares traded: 0.67 crore), MPS Infotecnics (number of shares traded: 0.55 crore), PNC Infratech (number of shares traded: 0.44 crore), GTL Infra (number of shares traded: 0.41 crore), Sun Tech Over (number of shares traded: 0.31 crore), Virtual Global (number of shares traded: 0.25 crore) and Reliance Comm (number of shares traded: 0.25 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:29AM in Monday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 4.75 points up at 17589.9, while BSE Sensex was down 52.28 points at 58963.61 at the time of writing this report.
In the Nifty index, ITC Ltd. (up 2.90 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd. (up 2.10 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (up 1.98 per cent), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd. (up 1.71 per cent) and Tech Mahindra Ltd. (up 1.05 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Tata Steel Ltd. (down 4.68 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd. (down 3.20 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd. (down 2.58 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd. (down 2.44 per cent) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (down 1.88 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
