Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 6.25 points to 17390.65 amid selling in frontline bluechip stocks.
However, stocks such as Aptus Value Housing Finance India Ltd., Generic Engg, Intnl Conveyors, Krsnaa Diagnostics Ltd. and CarTrade Tech Ltd., touched their fresh 52-week low.
Overall, 28 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 22 traded in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, ONGC, HUL, JSW Steel, Asian Paints and Grasim Inds. were among top gainers, while Maruti Suzuki, Adani Ports SEZ, Bajaj Auto, Hero MotoCorp and Tata Motors traded in the red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 181.92 points up at 58672.85 at 10:09AM (IST).
Traders were seen piling up positions in Diversified, FMCG, Building Materials, Gas & Petroleum and Holding Company sectors, while selling was visible in IT – Hardware, Petrochemicals, Power, Agriculture/Horticulture/Livestock and Industrial Consumables sectors.
