NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (numbers of share traded: 64.27 crore), YES Bank (numbers of share traded: 11.05 crore), SAIL (numbers of share traded: 6.56 crore), ITC (numbers of share traded: 5.67 crore), ONGC (numbers of share traded: 5.15 crore), GMR Infra (numbers of share traded: 5.07 crore), PNB (numbers of share traded: 4.53 crore), SBI Cards (numbers of share traded: 3.98 crore), NALCO (numbers of share traded: 3.37 crore) and IDBI Bank (numbers of share traded: 3.24 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 165.1 points up at 17562.0, while BSE Sensex ended up 352.13 points at 58843.06.
On the other hand, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (down 2.49 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (down 1.57 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (down 1.35 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd. (down 1.25 per cent) and Nestle India Ltd. (down 0.65 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
